Happy 6 months old to me..

Hello everyone, today I am 6 months old.. and to celebrate (????) Mummy and Amelia took me to get my 6 month immunizations. Okay so it wasn't much of a celebration but I did get lots of big cuddles from both Mummy and Amelia and I got to sleep lots through the day. Cuddles and sleep, what more could a person wish for... Well there is always chocolate cake, I'm sure that cake would make my legs feel better. Mum assures me that some vegies and yoghurt may even work wonders. I think that she is trying to get me to wait until I turn one for chocolate cake !!

All aboard; for real this time....

Today was an extra special Friday; Daddy didn't have to go to work!! After a little sleep in we all got dressed and caught the TRAIN into the city so that mummy could hand deliver some paperwork to some people in a big city office. I had been waiting for ages to go on a train again but the wait was well worth it.. Zachy didn't think so though; he fell asleep on the way in. Must have been all the bumps that rocked him to sleep! While in the city we stopped for coffee up the road from Daddy's old work. I don't like coffee yet so I had a BIG chocolate milk shake that filled my tummy right up!

Yippee THE ZOO

Upon waking on Monday the sun was shining so Mummy called Luca's mummy and we decided to meet at the zoo. After an extra long play in Carousel Park we went exploring; first the monkeys, then the hippo (or should I say the scary hippo!!), then the tiger (also being scary) and then finally the butterflies and elephants. Before too long both Luca and I had sore and tired legs from walking and Zach and Sofia both needed some sleep so it was time to say our goodbyes. The fact that I had very wet and muddy pants from jumping in puddles was probably also a good reason to go home..

Fun with my cousins

What is better than seeing your cousins once a week?? THREE times in one week - Wednesday, Saturday & Sunday !! On Saturday night Bella, Eloise, Aunty Kyla and Uncle Mick all arrived at my house. This was exactly what I needed to brighten me up seen as though I had been feeling unwell all day.. On Sunday morning I woke up to the laughter of Bella & Eloise and fortunately, was feeling much better than the day before. After a quick shower with Bella, Eloise AND Aunty Kyla we all got dressed and ventured to Ikea, except for Daddy who was going out to help Darren's mummy move some heavy furniture. While at Ikea we discovered some fun things to play with and by the time we got to the end of the maze we were all feeling quite tired. Luckily Aunty Kyla and Uncle Mick had bought lots of things so there was a trolley for us to rest on.. After some popcorn and a few episodes of "Dora" it was time for the new computer to be packed up and taken back to Ballarat with its new family. Before it was packed up though I gave Bella and Eloise a quick lesson on blogging so that they can set up one of their own up on the new computer. I can't wait to see what fun things they get up to!!

All aboard !!

Today I met Milla, AJ and some of their other friends, Ella, Taylah & Max at Scienceworks. It had been ages since I had been at Scienceworks but somehow we always seem to pick nice sunny days to go so playing outside is extra fun!!! and the mums also get to enjoy the sunshine and have a coffee so it's a win win situation really... Today Milla and I had lots of fun playing outside in the "Train park", dressing up the big wooden dolls inside and making lunch for our mums at the cafe inside Nitty Gritty Super City. Today was my first time upstairs at Nitty Gritty Super City and I loved it.. I think that next time I go it may have to be on a Saturday or Sunday so that Daddy can come and I can make lunch for him as well..

Photo shoot

Today mum found an outfit in my cupboard that is extremely cute but unfortantely one that won't fit me for much longer and because of the cold weather that we are having at the moment I don't think that i will get a chance to wear it outside. So WE decided that it would be fun if I put the outfit on and had a little photo session.. Mum and Amelia took lots and lots and lots of photos of me; some with my teddies, some with my eyes closed and lots of me smiling and laughing. Don't tell Daddy but I kinda liked the photo session. Maybe I could be a model one day ??

Showers

Luckily I still have access to Bella & Eloise's computer so am able to quickly tell you how much I LOVE having showers.. Last Friday night when Daddy was looking after us I decided that it may be fun to have a shower instead of a bath. Since then I have had a shower every night!! Because it is sooo cold at night mum and dad were trying to find ways that I could have a shower but not get my hair wet. I know that you are thinking "why not wear a shower cap?".. Well, until Sunday we didn't have any so we had to be a little creative. Here is a photo of my shoping bag shower cap that I wore on Saturday night and one of my new pink shower cap.. I think that I look very cool don't you!!

Broken....

Just a quick message to let you all know that I may not be able to blog as much as usual for a while because today our computer broke! Luckily I helped Daddy unpack Bella & Eloise's new computer today so I am able to quickly send a message to let you know what is going on.. Here is a photo of my Daddy trying desperately to fix our computer.. He said that it he needed to fix it so that he can do some work tomorrow but I think that he really just wants to check ebay and some car sites. Love Amelia : - /

Stress Release

To help me unwind from a very hectic day playing with my cousins I thought that I would try Uncle Mick's stress release techniques. Hmmmm, I wonder if I can convince mum and dad to buy one of these for my bedroom.

My surprise..

When I got home on Saturday and after giving my daddy lots of cuddles and kisses Daddy told me that he had some "prises" for me; a BIG one and some small ones. I got the little ones first - a Tigger pencil case, a Tweenty Bird case and a new book. And then it was time to go outside for the BIG one. There next to the swing set was a slide!!!! I was soooooo excited that I ran straight over, climbed up the stairs and slid down, again and again and again and again and again..

Nanny's house

I have had such a busy few days that I really don't know where to start.. I didn't have my computer with me to blog as I went along so hopefully I am able to remember everything.. On Tuesday night Daddy left to go on a big airplane to Perth for work. As he was going to be gone for a few days Mum, Zach and I packed some things and drove to Nanny's house for a three night sleepover. As well as seeing Nanny again I also spent time with Bella & Eloise. On Thursday I got to play with Bella & Eloise most of the day as Aunty Kyla went to work and my mum looked after us all. We had lots of fun playing dress ups, dancing and making Aunty Kyla a very special birthday card.

On Friday I got to play with Eloise again while Bella was at kinder. Friday was Bella's first day at kinder. When she got home she showed us the snowman that she made and told us how much fun she had had. Then it was time to sing the happy birthday song to Aunty Kyla, help blow out candles and most importantly, eat cake!!

I love it when I go to stay at Nanny's & Poppy's and when I get to play with my cousins. Maybe next time I will be able to go for a sleep over all by myself ... Amelia x

Rain boots

Hi, me again... Forgot to tell you that my rainy day outfit is now complete. Today we got some boots for me to wear in the rain. Although it wasn't raining today there was still one puddle in my back yard so I thought that I should test out my new boots. My feet stayed dry but I did manage to splash some muddy water onto my pants.. Oh dear!

Dressing myself

I love skirts sooooo much that today I decided to surprise mum by sneaking off to my bedroom, pulling all of my skirts off the shelf and then seeing how many I could wear at the same time... Mum counted to six when she was helping me take them off... She said that six was far to many to wear to go to Hey Dee Ho..

Rain, Rain

Singing my rain song must have helped because on Sunday it rained at my house.... Before Daddy left to go to watch the football he helped me put on my rain jacket and to find my brella and we went out for a walk in the rain.. Later in the day I got to wear my jacket again and help Poppy and Mum load some wood onto the trailer. I like it when it rains, nearly as much as the farmers do!

Food !!

Today I had a brand new experience - FOOD !!! After my lunch and a little play under my gym I got to sit up at the big table. I thought that this was a little strange as I really only sit up at the big table when I am grumpy and need a cuddle but today was a special day. While sitting on dad's knee I got to taste some goey white stuff called rice cereal and I am proud to say that most of it actually made it to my tummy! Hmmm, maybe if I am good and sleep all night again tonight I will get to have some more cereal tomorrow.....
