my play date with Abigail

today my friend Abby came to play at my house. i hadn't seen Abby for over 12 months but it didn't take us long to get re-acquainted and to get into mischief together.. after a yummy lunch of potato smilies, noodles (my favourite), some cheese, and of course a "cino" we had lots of fun pulling all of the toys out of the toy box and spreading them all around the house, both inside and out!!! but what do you do when there are no toys left in the toy box to pull out ?

the time then came when Abby's mummy & daddy said that it was time for her to go home because her daddy needed to "make noise" at their house, just like my dad does. Abby said that her dad was making a new room for the baby in her mummy's tummy.

i liked playing with Abby very much today, i hope that we see each other again very soon.

time for a rest

My first easter was spent at Nanny's.. After a big day of traveling, drinking (slighlty sweeter than the usual milk) and having cuddles with my cousins i was so tired that i decided it was time for a nap on Nanny's armchair. Goodnight !!!

p.s. thank you easter bunny for my chocolate filled porshe...

the renovations continue

what better way to spend a lazy sunday morning than renovating ??

Chocolate carrots ??

did you know that if you leave a carrot at the end of your bed it magically turns into chocolate eggs ?? I do.. And more to the point, chocolate eggs that you are allowed to eat at 8 o'clock in the morning.. And this year Easter bunny was feeling extra generous (or maybe a little health conscious) and also left a hi5 book and cd and a craft book. Wow, thank you Easter bunny!

Easter bunny had also visited Nanny's house and after one of Nanny's nice big yummy roast lunches Bella, Eloise and I got to go outside with our baskets and find them all. I'm glad that I had a big sleep the night before because at one stage I had to push Uncle Mick out of the way so that I could get to the eggs.

in an attempt to rid ourselves of some of the chocolate energy we popped on some hi5 and showed everyone just how good we could dance. Before I knew it it was then time for dinner and a bath before getting back into the car and coming home. I hope that everyone had as much fun (and chocolate) as I did over Easter.

See you next time !!

Easter Saturday fun..

Who knew that Easter Saturday could be so much fun..

after debating whether to brave the cold Melbourne weather mum and I jumped into the car and drove around to the shops. Mum told me not to get too excited as we were only going to pick up a few things from the supermarket but little did she know that there were extra special activities to celebrate Easter..

Easter eggs for sale, face painting and even a small animal farm in the middle of the mall. The man in the farm told me that I was allowed to go in and play with the animals but I preferred to stay outside of the fence and look from a distance. At one point I thought that it may be worth putting on a brave face and going in, in particular to be nice to the bunny rabbits in hope that they were able to put in a good word about me to the "Easter bunny" but unfortunately that cow just looked a little bit too scary.

after a big day it was time for an extra special big sleep so that I would be able to keep up with my cousins, Bella & Eloise in the Easter egg hunt at Nanny's..

and now it's my turn....

It looks like my little brother has beaten me to the blogspot.. but it is now my turn..

For those of you who don't know me I am Amelia. I am turning 3 at the end of September, so I guess that makes me about about 2 and a half.. I live with my mum and dad (also commonly referred to by me as Paula & Graeme) and my little brother, Zachary, in a house that my daddy is "fixing". I like to help my dad fix the house by using my own little hammer. Sometimes I also like to sneak some of dads tools to play with (oops I mean to help with). My favorite is the measuring "taper" which I like to hide in strange places when I finish playing with it and later receive lots of kisses and cuddles from dad when I find it for him..

in sitting down to write I'm not sure where to begin as there has been so much happening.. From now on I will try to write regularly so I don't forget what I need to tell you all. Hopefully I can even learn how to put pictures on here for you all to look at..

This week has been extra special as my nan & pop from NSW came to visit for 5 whole days. in addition to all the cuddles and kisses I got from them they also gave me a new pair of Princess pajamas and lots of new hair ties and clips.. I have managed to convince mum to let me wear my new pajamas every night since I got them but I have a feeling that she did sneak them out from my bedroom to the washing machine at some stage.

while nan & pop were here I took them to the zoo to show them my favorite animals. Pop took lots of photos of the animals for me, even the scary ones like the tiger and the big bears. Even though I was a little bit scared looking at some of the animals I pretended that I wasn't just so I could show nan & pop how grown up I am. Nan & pop even came to my music class with me and while there I somehow even convinced them to join in and put bunny ears on..

over the last couple of weeks I have heard a lot of people talk about an Easter bunny and whispers that this bunny actually brings chocolate eggs to my house. in fact my neighbor's told me today that there are only 3 sleeps to go until the Easter bunny comes. I think that I might stay awake and see if I can see him when he comes. Perhaps if I eat enough of the chocolate eggs that are already in the cupboard this will give me enough energy to do so..

Happy Easter everyone !

Hello from Zachary James

Hi everyone,

my name is Zachary James and i am nearly 12 weeks old.. people call me Zach or sometimes even Zachie (espcially when i'm being cute).. so if you want to call me Zach as well that is ok. this is my very first blog so please bear with me as i muddle my way through.. hopefully my big sister Amelia will be able to help me out or maybe i could even copy some of her stories and pictures as she writes them ??

life on the outside is pretty good so far.. i have so many people around me that are happy to give me kisses and cuddles and the list seems to be growing everyday as there are even more little babies that i am meeting.

in the last 12 weeks i have done lots of exicting things that i'm not even sure i will be able to remember them all to share with you.. However, i will try so here we go:
  • arrived home to be greeted by my Nanny and Amelia
  • had my friends, AJ & Milla, around for dinner on my first night at home
  • had my cousins, Izabella & Elosie and Aunty Kyla to visit
  • then, my Nan & Pop from NSW came down to visit and even stayed in our house for nearly 2 weeks !
  • a holiday at Nanny's for 10 days while our new kitchen and laundry were being installed
  • went into the city to watch the Commonwealth Games closing ceremony on a huge big screen

in addition to the above there have been numerous visits to the zoo, birthday parties, walks in the park, and even a divorce party. Oh, and one night mum and dad let me stay out very very late while we were at a wedding (not related at all to the divorce party at all for those of you who were wondering). the wedding followed Turkish traditions, one of which involved all the guests pinning money on the lady in the pretty dress and the man in his suit. i'm really not sure just how much money would have been pinned on them but i'm sure that it would have filled my money box quite nicely..

So as you can see i have been very busy since my big arrival and have at times found it difficult to find time for a little nap.. luckily i have a nice comfy seat in the car and also in the pram so i can nap while in transit.

all this talk of sleep is now making me sleeply so i better say goodnight..

Love Zach x
