My purchase

Today Mum, Nanny, Zach & I went shopping to buy some material to make new curtains for our house. Nanny is at my house having a holiday but she said that she was happy to do some sewing for mum. Nanny is good at sewing; she made my new doona cover and curtains for my room as well. Hmmm, I wonder if mum can sew ?? Anyway, Aunty Kyla, Bella & Eloise dropped Nanny at my house yesterday and Poppy is picking her up in 2 sleeps time. So yesterday I got to play with Bella & Eloise at my house. We had lots of fun playing fisbee, riding my bikes, swinging, drawing and dancing to Hi5..

Today I remembered to take some of my money to the shops and I decided to use it to buy myself a raincoat. Mum helped me count out the right money to give to the lady and as soon as we got home it was time to try it on.. I decided that I liked my raincoat so much that I kept it on while eating dinner. Daddy said that it made a great bib and that maybe I should wear it at all meal times. Hmmmm, I might just do that.

Love Amelia xx

p.s. Now that I have a raincoat I can sing my favorite rain song. The Bananas in pajamas taught me this one... "drip drop drip drop rain is falling down, drip drop drip drop splashing all around, lets put on our raincoats our gumboots and our hats and jump in all the puddles with a splish, splosh, splash !!! "

My new room

Hoorah! I finally have a room in our house to call my own.. After all of Dad and Mum's hard work my room is now finished. Well except for the window that needs some new glass and some painting and blinds and a new light fixture and carpet (shh, don't mention this to Daddy) BUT apart from that I have officially moved in and I couldn't be happier !! Of course my big sister Amelia also loves my new room, especially pulling all of my toys from the shelves to play with and climbing into my bed.. Yesterday she discovered that she could not only climb in by herself but that she could also climb out !! She loves being in my bed so much that she sometimes sneaks into my room when I am asleep just to make sure that I am actually asleep and that there is no opportunity for her to get in..

While I sleep in my big bed through the day mum still likes to keep me close at night time and so I still get to enjoy a big sleep in my bassinette near her bed. However, after keeping her awake with my high pitched goo's and gaa's this morning (between the hours of 4.30am and 6.00am) I think that she may change her mind ???

I have attached some photos of my new room and of me having cuddles with Amelia on my chair. I'm sure that I will have many more "cuddle" photos to show you tomorrow as mum has just told me that Bella & Eloise are coming to Melbourne today for a visit and to drop Nanny off for a holiday!!!! Yeah, lots of cuddles !

Happy birthday Aunty Shannon

Well Thursday wasn't quite warm enough for a swim which meant that we needed to come up with another way to spend the day. And what better way than finger painting... Or foot painting as it soon turned out to be.

After we were all cleaned up I then helped mum to make dinner. To celebrate my Aunty Shannon's 30th birthday we made golden syrup dumplings which I then put a candle in and sang the Happy Birthday song. I think that I sang loud enough for Aunty Shannon to hear it all the way from Darwin....

Helping out

Today after a busy morning playing with my friends and "doing coffee" at our usual cafe I helped mum clean my bedroom, which included sorting through my clothes. In doing so I found my bathers and in an attempt to scare away the cold weather I talked mum into letting me put them on.. I also tried to talk mum into setting the pool up in the backyard however she didn't think that that would be such a good idea.. I can't wait until it is summer time again !!

When dad got home from work I then helped him in Zach's new room by using my hammer to help build some shelves. I think that I really looked the part in my bathers and slippers, what do you think ??

Rolling, Rolling, Rolling...

The other day I decided that it was time to show mum just who is boss!! Tummy time is something that I have not been a big fan of in the past, so when mum put me on my tummy yet again I thought that I would see if I could somehow flip back into a position where I can see more than the blanket in front of my nose. So, with a little push of my arms and a little wiggle I managed to roll over... I was actually quite surprised when mum and Amelia cheered and showered me with kisses, I thought that mum wanted me to stay on my tummy ?? Since dad had missed my first roll I decided to show him as well however this time I somehow missed the softness of the blanket and knocked my head against the floor, ouch !!

Adult Supervision Required ??

After such a hectic day yesterday playing with my cousins; Becka & Jessa, and Nan & Pop i decided that a little quiet time was the way to go. Mum helped me to get out my craft box and set up my paints then left me to paint a picture for my other cousin, Grace. After i had finished my painting i decided that while mum & dad weren't looking it would be fun to see what i would look like with a little bit of purple facial hair.. What do you think ??

My holiday

Last Friday mum, Zach & I packed some clothes, along with ALL of the essential child items and drove to Ballarat to visit Nanny for the weekend. It had been ages since I last saw Nanny; I think that the last time I was at her house was when there were chocolate eggs hidden in her garden. Hmmm, I hoped that there were still some left to find.. Unfortunately Daddy didn't come to Ballarat and therefore wasn't able to help me on my search for chocolate eggs. Daddy stayed home to make a big mess in Zach's new room.

Upon arriving in Ballarat Nanny was still at work so we ventured out to visit Bella, Eloise and Aunty Kyla. It had been ages since I had seen them also so as you can imagine we had lots of catching up to do. Unfortunately the batteries in mum's camera went flat so I haven't got many photos to show you all but I remember having lots of fun with Bella and Eloise not only on the Friday but also on Sunday, Monday, Wednesday & Thursday !!!

Life on Bella & Eloise's farm is lots of fun, there is soooo much room to run around, a sand pit and cubby house to play in and eggs to collect from Uncle Mick's chickens. On Monday Bella and I collected three eggs each. Shortly after, Aunty Kyla put three of the eggs into a bowl to make chocolate cup cakes. You see, I accidentally tripped and my eggs fell onto the floor and smashed... While trying to scope them up Bella then accidentally fell over her basket and smashed her eggs as well. Yummm, chocolate cup cakes !!

On Wednesday I woke up very early and mum & dad drove me out to Bella & Eloise's again, this time in my pajamas. On the way out I noticed that the grass was white instead of green. Mum said that Jack Frost had been through the night and painted the grass white. I think that it would have been fun to paint so much grass so hopefully Jack will wake me up next time and give me time to get my painting clothes on so that I can help.

After waving goodbye I stayed at Bella & Eloise's house by myself while Mum, Dad & Zach went to see a Rainbow with Nan & Pop Bryant and most importantly say goodbye to my Great Pa (I am such a BIG GIRL..) Mum said that the rainbow was too far for me to go in the car and that I would have a much better time playing at the farm. I didn't mind at all because it meant I had more time to spend with my cousins and that I would get to stay overnight with Nanny & Poppy by myself. Also, Dad told me that Nan & Pop Bryant were coming to stay ay MY house in a couple of days so I don't miss out on seeing them at all !!

Well hopefully I have caught everyone up on my whereabouts for the last week; I have missed writing to you all. For those that are new to blogging, don't forget to leave me a message by clicking on the COMMENTS field below.

Love & kisses, Amelia x

p.s. Zach said hi as well and to tell you that he will write as soon as he recovers from his road trip.
