Daddy's new project

The last few weekends I have been helping my daddy build his new deck in our back yard. There has been lots of digging, cutting, nailing and some painting. The best bit of the deck is that once it is finished I will have a great big new stage that I will be able to dance on. Last weekend Dad was so happy with my help that he put a temporary platform on the deck for me to practice my dancing on.. It was even more fun a couple of days later when it rained and there was water on my platform.

my drawing of Elodi

Earlier this week mum and I wrapped up a little present for my cousin Elodi for her happy birthday. Mum told me that I could draw a picture for Elodi on her card so away I went and drew a picture of Elodi. Mum was so impressed with my drawing that she took a photo and said that I should "blog it". So, here it is...

my first swim

After a chilly stay in Ballarat we returned home and somehow convinced mummy and daddy to blow up the pool. Because there is not a lot of water around at the moment mummy only put a tiny bit of water in the pool but it was enough for Amelia and I to splash in. I really liked my first big swim, but I do hope that Santa brings me my own swimmers because I don't think that these pink ones bring out the colour in my eyes.

where did the water go???

While we were in Ballarat we seemed to be driving in circles... Well, one big circle! While Zach slept Mum decided to drive around Lake Wendouree, a lake that she claimed to have jogged around many times when she was younger! Mum also stopped to take some photos of the lake to show Daddy; except it dodn't look much like a lake to me..

0.5 degrees in Ballarat

Last week we decided to take a trip to Ballarat to see Nanny & Poppy and Aunty Kyla, Bella & Eloise. We also stopped in to see little Abby and her mum Bec and Jackie and her new baby, Oscar. It was soooooo much fun catching up with everybody, even if it was only 0.5 degrees at times which meant that we had to spend most of our time inside. After we said goodbye to Abby and Bec we got caught in a really big hailstorm. It was so loud that we couldn't even hear The Wiggles music playing in the car or mum talking to us. Then, while out at Bella and Eloise's it hailed again and then it snowed!!! Uncle Mick (oops I mean Aunty Mick) was out in the snow so we decided that we should go out as well and help to collect the snow to help build Aunty Mick's snowman. We only got a little bit done before another big hailstorm so we needed to hide in near the pond until it stopped. Luckily we had packed enough clothes to stay for a few days and so when the weather was better we played outside, "did coffee" and also a spot of shopping.

Look what I can do..

Mum says "no words are required".. So I guess that's it - good night all.

Kinder

Today I learnt a new word "orientation"... It means that you get to go somewhere to see what the place is like and whether the people and activities at the place are fun or not. And the verdict is that KINDER IS FUN!!! Although I was only there for one hour and that mum and Zach were with me I still think that kinder is fun and that I will have lots of fun when I get to go by myself. There is so much to do at kinder; today (just for practice) I played with the play doh, did some pasting and played in the pretend kitchen and then before I knew it it was time to go home. But before I left I did manage to test out the playground.. It's good!

Love Amelia (the kinder kid (almost))

my favourite place

Now that I can get around by myself I have discovered a new favourite spot to hang out. Hmmmm, do the pink curtains give you a clue as to where my favorite place may be ?

This is a photo of me at the Melbourne Cup Kids Carnival at Federation Square on Sunday. One of the nice ladies there painted my face for me. I pretended that I was Dudley (Nanny's cat). There were lots of fun things to see at the carnival although the idea of seeing them was much better than actually seeing them... When mum told me that I was going to see Spot the Dog I was very excited. BUT, he was much bigger than I thought he would be and I was a bit scared. Freddo Frog and Fireman Sam were also there but I didn't like them either; luckily Daddy was there to give me lots of cuddles to make me less afraid. But, I did like The Hooley Dooleys...
After The Hooley Dooleys finished we went to see the ponies. I thought that I would have a little pony ride (like Abi did last week at her party) but when the lady went to lift me up onto the pony I changed my mind.. Mum said that I am allowed to do that cause I'm a girl.

Trick or Treat

On Wednesday our friends, Luca & Sofia, had a halloween party at their house. Their mummy is orginally from Salt Lake City and LOVES halloween. She had lots of fun things pinned on the windows and from the ceiling, some of them even came all the way from Salt Lake City. We played lots of fun games like pin the nose on the pumpkin and hit (and break open) the witch pinata AND there was even a lady who lived next to Luca and Sofia that gave us all chocolates when we knocked on her door !!! Oh, and we forgot to mention that for a halloween party you need to dress up in your favorite costume.

Happy Halloween everyone - Amelia & Zach
