Happy Birthday to me ??

This is a little confusing but today (not yesterday) was my Happy Birthday. Even though my party was yesterday, today was my real birthday. More presents, more cake and more special visitors; my Nan & Pop from Ulladulla. AND, I even had another birthday party to go to - my friend Jayda also turned 3 today and had a party at her house. I LOVE birthday parties and I LOVE playing with all of my new toys... as you can probably tell.

Love Amelia (the big 3 year old) x

My party

Planning a party sure is hard work... Since my last blog I have been busy helping Mummy and Daddy prepare for my birthday party. Everything from buying ingredients for party food, baking party food and cake, making thank you presents for my friends, cleaning my room, cutting the grass in the back yard and ensuring that my fairy dress is clean and ready for me to wear. Finally the big day arrived - a nice sunny day, a great day for a party!!

To start the day I awoke to see Nanny and Poppy peeping through my bedroom door. Nanny and Poppy had just arrived back from their visit to Darwin to see Aunty Shannon. They had traveled on the star plane back to Melbourne while I was sleeping and had arrived just in time for breakfast. After breakfast the preparations for the party begun - the cake was iced, the fairy bread was made, the lollies were put out AND best of all, Daddy brought home some special party balloons.

Around 12noon the door bell rang and in walked Bella & Eloise with lots of cuddles, kisses and presents.. Then all of a sudden the door bell rang again and again and again and my friends all arrived, with more presents.. It was sooooooo much fun having all of my friends at my house, especially since it was such a nice day and we all got to play outside on the swings and slide.

Soon it was time for the Happy Birthday song and best of all; the birthday cake! We even had time for blowing bubbles and some dancing to The Wiggles before everyone had to go home.

Hope everyone had as much fun as I did at my party.. Thanks for the presents - Amelia x

The beach.

In between the cold rainy days there were some sunny days (at Ulladulla) so we decided that it would be fun to go to the beach. It wasn't hot enough to swim but we did have fun making sand castles, collecting shells, drawing in the sand and sometimes even eating the sand.... Here are a couple of Mums favourite photos from our beach visits.

Watch out Pop !!

While in Ulladulla we all went on a day trip with Nan & Pop to Nowra Wildlife Park. It was kind of like the zoo but a few different animals to look at so I decided that I should stay awake to see them all. There were some koalas, kangaroos, emus, cockies, horses, goats, geese, wombats, camels and donkeys and I had lots of fun watching Nan & Amelia feed them all with some special animal food. One animal that Nan & Amelia didn't feed though were the crocodiles. There were two crocodiles - John & Dawn. This is John behind me; he was very big!! Pop said that while in Darwin he saw crocodiles twice the size of John!!! I'm glad that I was getting some Pop cuddles while looking at John; I wasn't scared at all...

8 sleeps to go

I'm soooooooo excited!!!! Next week is my birthday and I'm going to be 3. Only 8 sleeps to go until my party and 9 sleeps until my actual birthday.

Today I went shopping with Mum & Zach for some party stuff. We had some much fun looking at all of the party things and somehow I even persuaded Mum into buying me some new fairy wings. I think that I will wear my new fairy wings to my party.. It's not a dress up party but it's my party so I think that I will dress up anyway. I think that I get this trait from my Daddy!! Anyway, the other exciting news is that the party is going to be at my house AND I that my friends will be coming to play as well as Nanny & Poppy, Aunty Kyla, Bella & Eloise AND Nan & Pop the following day. AND, Mum wonders why I can't sleep???????

Pin up girl

A little while ago I read a posting on my friend Milla's blog titled "Super Model". It was about a group requesting photos of little people (like Milla & me) to put together a calender of Victorian kids. Mum helped me to pick some of my favourite photos (as well as photos of Zach and of my cousins Bella & Eloise) and we emailed them to the calender lady on the computer. The other day Daddy checked the calender lady's site and discovered that she had put together an example of the calender for people to look at. And, guess who he saw ??????????????? ME - AMELIA.. Ok, so it's not the best photo to kick start my career but you have to start somewhere.

If you want to have a sneak peak at the calender go to http://www.katprintcreations.com/CalendarExample.html

p.s. If you didn't pick it, I'm the one doing the blowfish on the glass door....

Braving the Sydney weather

You can't go to Sydney and not see the Opera house, the Harbour bridge and the Powerhouse Museum.. Of course when you are in Manly you also can't miss out on experiencing a ferry ride; but maybe just don't ride the ferry when Sydney are in the middle of the stormy season !!!

Hold on tight it's the ferry ride.

Can you see the people climbing on top of the bridge ??

Look at me I'm on T.V. at the Powerhouse Museum

More soon, Amelia & Zach

Leaving on a star plane!!

We have arrived home and have started to sort through the many photos that we took while away so that we can pick out our favourites to share with everybody.. If you know our mum you will understand that this is quite a difficult task. Instead of taking just one shot of each thing that we do mum takes four or five just to make sure that she gets a good photo.

We did soooooo much stuff while we were on holidays and if we were to tell you about all of our adventures tonight we would not get to sleep before the sun gets up. So, to start things off here's some photos from the day that we left Melbourne, on the star plane!!

The view from our apartment in Manly. A.K.A. The beach and playground that we couldn't play on because it was too wet..

Hip Hip Hooray Holidays

Hello everyone,

Just a quick note to let you know that we are still around but just a little too far away from home to regularly blog. Maybe you remember our count down to holidays?? Well, last Thursday we all got onto a plane and a short while later arrived in Sydney. Why go to Sydney we hear you say, especially when the weather was so bad. Well, Nan & Pop live in a place called Ulladulla, which is kind of close to Sydney so after having three sleeps in Manly we drove down to Ulladulla. The weather is now a little better and we have been having lots of fun at the beach, at the wildlife park and exploring lots of fun places. We promise to post lots of photos and stories of our adventures when we get home.

Love Amelia & Zach.
