Life as a nearly three year old..

What a busy week I have had. So busy in fact that I haven't had a chance to sit down and blog!! So I thought tonight I would let you know a bit about all of the fun things I have been doing and post a few photos to share with you. Lets see - a visit to Abby's house for lunch and to see her new little sister, Emily; a play and a late lunch in Rathdowne St (including ice cream!); a ride in a very cool bike double pram thing to the Flemington market with AJ & Milla and a playdate at Luca's house while Mum and Zach shopped. Add to this the usual weekly activities like Hey dee ho, playing in the park, dressing up in mum's tops and glasses, playing with Zach and painting with my feet and you will understand just why I get so tired and need to have a BIG sleep before starting a new day.

Rainy days

When we woke this morning it was to a cold and wet day, and it didn't look as though it was going to get any better. We decided to stay home and do some chores like washing and cooking but we also found time for some dancing and drawing. Chores aren't so bad, sometimes...

yummmmm, chocolate cake

Yes, we actually did need to wash Zach; his lunch didn't want to stay in his tummy!!

my stuff ????

As a second child I often find myself wondering " Is anything just mine?" I LOVE my big sister Amelia very very much but as you can see, sometimes she even climbs into my bed to play with my toys.. She is lucky that I love her so much and that I like sharing my things with her. I wonder whether she will like sharing her things with me when I get bigger and are able to reach her things myself ????

2 weeks to go...

Only two weeks (or 15 sleeps) to go until I get to go on a big plane again.. I'm very excited. So excited in fact that today I dressed myself in some summer shorts and top in preparation of going to the beach with my Nan & Pop. See you soon Nan & Pop. xx

Lets all go to the Zoo, again!!

On Saturday morning Mum told us that our cousins Becka and Jessa were coming to play while Dad and Uncle Stephen worked on Dad's new car. So we decided that it would be fun if we could spend the day with Becka and Jessa at one of our favorite places - the Zoo.. Going to the zoo with Becka and Jessa was somewhat faster than I am used to and I think that we may have seen ALL of the animals while we were there instead of the usual 5 or 6 that we tend to visit at one time. However, we even had time for Becka and Jessa to have a ride on the carousel, for lunch at the playground and for a snack at Elephant Village. I think that Becka and Jessa liked the Butterflies the best and reptile house; especially the snakes. Becka said that she wanted to hold one of the snakes but they were all curled up fast asleep under the lights in their cages so she didn't get a chance to get close to any of them. Phewwww, by the time that we were ready to go home we were all exhausted, including mum, but that didn't stop us from dancing to the The Wiggles, playing on the slide and swings, drawing and playing with play doh when we got home..

Meet Dora

Because I was such a good girl while shopping today Daddy bought me a new fish to put in my fish bowl at home. I decided to call her Dora. Mummy helped me clean out the bowl and then it was time for Doris (my old fish) to meet Dora. They seem to like each other. After cleaning the fish it was then time to help Mum wash her car because it was very very dirty. It had been sooooo long since the car had been washed that i don't even remember the last time we did it!!

broom broom !!

A little while ago Daddy bought a new car but unfortunately I haven't been allowed to ride in it because it was a little bit sick! Well, yesterday it came back home after seeing the car doctor and to celebrate Daddy took me for a short ride around to the shops. Daddy's car sure does go fast...

Happy Birthday to our Daddy

After a whole week of hiding Daddy's present under the bed today we were finally able to give it to him because it was his birthday.. Daddy really didn't get to open any of the presents himself because we were both sooooo exicited and wanted to help. Daddy got lots of new socks (his favourite pillow feet ones) to keep his feet warm while at work and some red ones to keep his feet warm at home.. Because it was Daddy's birthday he got to choose what we had for dinner; another one of his favourite things - chilli with corn chips and sour cream! then cake and ice cream !!!! Yum, we love birthdays..

The unveiling

After 6 months, today I was finally alllowed to rip off some of the plastic on the new kitchen cupboards. For those of you that know my Daddy you can understand that it was quite a sad time for him. Daddy loves to keep plastic coverings on new things for as long as possible.

A weekend at Nanny's house

On the weekend Mummy, Amelia & I packed our bags and drove to Nanny's house for a little visit while Daddy stayed home to sand the cornices in the kitchen. I think that Daddy would have liked me to stay home and help him but I am still too little to be climbing ladders and getting covered in dust. Maybe one day when I am much older I will be able to help.. Just before we left on Friday I decided that it was time to mark another milestone so surprised mum by rolling over from my back to my tummy. In fact I am so good at it now that EVERYTIME I am put on the ground I end up on my tummy.

While in Ballarat we visited Bella & Eloise and played out at their house for ages. Unfortunately I got a little tired and needed to nap in Eloise's bed. However, the nap was quite short as the girls woke me up with their screams of excitment. I didn't mind though; it's not everyday that I get to play at Bella & Eloise's house. Love Zach
