2 sleeps, or maybe 4 or 5 ??

Amelia keeps telling me that there are only 2 more sleeps until my birthday.. Mum says (or should I say hopes) that it may actually be 4 or 5 sleeps. I think that I will count only the BIG night time sleeps so that my birthday arrives sooner rather than later..

3 years, 4 months old AND.....

3 years, 4 months old AND today I finally had my first real hair cut.. Mum, Zachary and I were just down at the shops today doing a few jobs when we walked past a hairdressers that I liked the look of, SO, I asked mum if I could get my hair cut. Mum went to talk to the lady and before I knew it I was sitting up in a really tall chair and Connie was spraying water in my hair and starting to comb it then cut it and then she even used the hair dryer and a big round funny brush to style it!

Getting my hair cut was fun... I don't know why I waited so long. Amelia x

Getting there

Even though the weather wasn't great over the weekend Daddy managed to get the floor on the deck!! Lucky daddy put the roof on before the floor so that he didn't get wet while he was working!!

Ahoy there!

Last Thursday we went for a quick visit to Milla and AJ's house to pick up Daddy's drill. As is often the case the quick visit extended into a longer visit and we found ourselves going along with Milla, AJ and Macs to a special surprise - a ride on a boat along the Maribrynong river to a place called Docklands!

Look what my bath water is doing to the grass..slowly but surely. It must be the wees in the bath that is making it so green!!!

There's a deck with a wall with a wall with a wall; there's a deck with some paint with some paint with some paint; there's a deck with a roof with a roof with a roof..... but the deck has got no floor no floor but the deck has got no floor!!!!

Bella's Birthday

It was Bella's birthday yesterday, she is now 4!!! To celebrate we met Bella and Eloise at a place called Fun Bugs to play. Nanny was also there with Bella and Eloise because Aunty Kyla and Uncle Mick were both home in bed sick. Mum said that they had something called gastro - doesn't sound very nice does it?

We had a BIG play at Fun Bugs on the jumping castles, in the ball pit, in the cars, on the trampoline and on the big scary slide we then went to get ice-creams to help us cool down. After dropping Bella and Eloise back home we then spent the night at Nanny's trying to stay cool..

Fun bugs was fun I wonder when mum will take us there again????

p.s. Just wanted to let you all know that I won't be blogging again for a few days because I am on holidays in Ballarat. I am staying at Nanny's house ALL BY MYSELF for 4 sleeps!! I am very very excited. Love Amelia x

Catching up

Has it really been that long since we blogged??? Okay so now that we are back we thought that you might like to see some of the fun things that we did while Dad was on holidays.

Because it has been so very hot and because we are trying to save water and grow some green grass with the grey water we decided to help out by bathing in the big tub outside. It was heaps of fun and mum didn't even tell us to stop splashing!!



Then there was a safari trip at Werribee zoo. We got to drive around in a funny bus with a lady called Jilly who showed us lots of animals. There were emus, camels and some funny looking horses. We also got to feel the horns from antelopes and the fur from camels.. Then when we went exploring by ourselves we found lions, monkeys and hippos!! Unfortunately it was a little bit too hot for some of the animals to play but we did see them hiding under the trees.





To finish off Daddys holiday we got to go shopping and help him buy a new TV - a BIG one!! Daddy was very very excited.. It even plays ABC Kids so we like it too.

Road Trip

We like it when Dad is on holidays because we get to go on road trips. On Friday because it was sooooooo very hot both inside and outside our house we went to the beach.. The beach was on the other side of the world at a place called Dromana. After a swim and a play in the sand we had fish n'chips for lunch before heading back to Frankston to visit Aunty Dot. Aunty Dot is our Nan's Aunty so I guess that makes her our great great Aunty. It had been a long time since we last saw Aunty Dot but she remembered me crawling under her table when I was Zachary's age. Here is a photo of us with Aunty Dot on Friday. And just to show you that I remember being at Aunty Dot's before here is a photo of me with her when I was just 4 months old.

Meet Strawberry & Goosebumps

Today our Daddy finished the bunny house that he had been building. We didn't think that the house should be empty so we talked mum and dad into finding some bunnies today. We drove to what seemed like the other side of the world to find our little bunnies and on the long journey home we decided on their names - Strawberry (Amelia's black bunny) and Goosebumps (Zach's spotty bunny).

Strawberry and Goosebumps seem to like their new house although they haven't worked out yet how to climb up the ramp that daddy built.. Hopefully they will work it out soon because their bed is upstairs ???

happy birthday mama

Sunday was our mum's birthday as well as being the very last day of 2006. After giving mum her presents we had a very lazy day doing lunch, a spot of shopping, a afternoon siesta and eating cake!!!
