So where did we leave things???? December 2009 – that can’t be right can it? Ok so our blogging has slowed down.. Does that mean that we have been busier with other things? To blog or not to blog – that is the question we are now facing.. What do you think? Anyone still checking our site and getting annoyed time and time again that there are no new entries??

For those of you that may still be around, here is the next update and another promise that we will try and post a little more regularly.

A new year – a new bed, for Mr Chase anyway. Time to pack up the cot for the last time and for Chase to enjoy the freedom that comes with the transistion from cot to bed..

January also saw us encounter quite a few steamy days during which Chase found his own unique way of cooling down.

During January Zachary kick started his new career path – model / warehouse worker. Ok, so the two of these don’t normally go hand in hand but with mum and dad as a boss he is easily manuipulated. Here is some of his recent work – the latter being the result of dropping a 5kg weight plate on his toe!!

Before we knew it, it was time to celebrate Zachary’s 4th birthday. A small party at home, on another steamy hot day, with some kinder friends, some party games and most importantly some spider web cup cakes. Zachary’s birthday was also the last time that we got to see Aunty Shannon with her baby tummy.

On the 8th of February, Aunty Shannon’s baby belly turned into Baby Lincoln. He is a photo of me giving him a cuddle the first time we met.

In February Chase turned 2. He had fun unwrapping all of his presents but unfortunately was a little freaked out by his Lightning McQueen car. Also, he wasn’t feeling terribly good and had to pass up a piece of his ice-cream birthday cake.

Chase did however get a second chance at birthday cake at the combined birthday lunch for him and Asha the following day.

The arrival of Baby Thomas in February then made it an even busier month and evened the boy to girl ratio. Welcome to the madness Thomas.

Moving into March, things slowed down a little but still included some significant events..

After dinner on March 1st, after weeks and weeks of waiting and wobbling, my tooth decided that it was time to come out. Finally i had a tooth to put into my special fairy tooth collection box and I’m happy to say that it was still there in the morning, along with a nice shiny coin – both of which I was able to take to school the following morning to show my friends.

Also, in March we had two new additions to our household – Miss Polly and Miss Molly. And when Mum finally finds the cord for her phone I may even be able to post a photo of them.

Finally, it was one of our favourite times of year – Easter! Yes, I along with my brothers don’t mind a little chocolate now and again. Clearly, Easter Bunny didn’t think that we needed that much chocolate and so instead decided to leave us nice new warm gowns!!

After a chocolately breakfast we jumped into the car and headed to Nanny and Poppy’s for an Easter picnic lunch. All of our cousins were there and ready to share some cuddles, chocolate, lunch, chocolate, stories, games and more chocolate.

After counting down the days it was then time to take a few days off school and head to Nan & Pop’s to help celebrate Pop’s 70th birthday. This included a plane ride to Canberra and a day spent exploring the local attractions. For those of you thinking of visiting Canberra in May, note that it was freezing!! We did however have a little sunshine that allowed us to see Canberra from the top of the tower and for us to roll down the grassy hill at Parliament House without getting too wet and muddy.

Upon arriving at Nan & Pop’s we met with our cousins – Elodi, Grace & Luca, which we were all very happy about, especially since we had had so much fun together at Christmas time. Although we only had one and a half days together we made sure not to waste a second of it.

While in Ulladulla Zachary made sure that there was plenty of action. Although swim suits were not packed for this trip he discovered that the water in May is really quite warm. Both visits to the beach saw him testing the water while clothed and deciding that it really is fun to run nude on a deserted beach in May.

Also, Zachary decided that the emergency room would be a nice place to visit and so went about cutting his forehead open on Nan & Pop’s brick step outside. Mum & Dad said that he was very brave while getting his stitches put in. I don’t think that Zach was overly impressed though with the appearance of them when the band aid finally came off.

So, as you can see a relatively busy start to the year..

Has it really been 4 months since we blogged??? We have no excuse really... we will try to again pick up the pace and blog more frequently than every 4 months. Hopefully we haven't lost our followers by being away for so long. Please do leave us your comments to let us know that you are still there..

So, where to start. Last time we blogged was at the end of September 09 holidays!! Sit back, relax and enjoy the many pics that this particular post may become as we aim to bring you up to date..

Amelia's 6th birthday - a day with cousins playing party games and decorating cakes followed by a small party at home with new school friends and friends that have been friends forever..

Next a family reunion at Roses Gap. A chance to see some wild life (no we're not talking about the relatives), to stay up late and to sleep overnight in a cabin!

Finally, a day that we had been planning for for what seemed like forever.. The big garage sale! the day started off rather cold and gloomy but we forged ahead and sold most things, including Jacqui's & Thomas's old kitchen sink!

With the "silly season" fast appraoching there were ballet concerts, kinder concerts, birthday parties and tree decorating to be done. Also, as we were heading to NSW for christmas an early christmas celebration was had with the Ballarat folk, including the opening of presents!

December 7, 2009 a big day for Zachary - his first Wiggles concert. Not only a concert but also a train ride into the city and back, a play in the park with Kit, a dance in the mosh pit to some of his favourite Wiggles songs AND an ice-cream stop on the way home..

An Ulladulla christmas. After spending the whole day in the car to reach our destination a lot of fun was had by all. Way too many photos to pick favourites so enjoy the slide show..

The holidays started out with lots of sunshine but unfortunately it didn't last. Despite that we found lots of ways to keep ourselves busy - parks, zoos, games, play dates with cousins and friends, sleep overs and of course a 6 year old birthday party (more on that later).. Last day of kinder today and a special day at that - Footy Day!!!!! Face painting, footy games and special footy lunches.. I was even lucky enough to see Mum and Chase while at kinder today because they came up to see Amelia at school who was also having footy day. We both supported the Tigers. Go the tigers!!!!

We love Dad's day.. Not only do you get to buy / make Dad special presents but we also try to do something special for the day and spend time exploring and playing with Dad. The last few years have been extra special as we have celebrated Dad's day with our friends, Milla & AJ, and of course their Dad. This year was no exception and we were extra specially happy about this because it had been sooooooo soooooo very long since we had seen them. So after breakfast at a local cafe (well local for Milla and AJ) we went exploring along the river. Along the way we found so many things to do - searching for star fish, playing hide and seek in the grass, picking flowers and plants and generally just having fun. Then what better way to finish the day than soaking in the hot tub with friends..

A day in the city with Nan & Pop

A visit from Nan & Pop is always filled with lots of fun things to do.. However, this time is the first time that they have been here since I started school. Luckily, Mum said that I could wag school for the day so that we could all go somewhere special together. This time we chose to catch the train into the city and show Nan & Pop the changes made to the old Spencer Street train station and just walk around, window shop, have some lunch and admire the wonderful city of Melbourne.

my hospital visit

For some months now I have had what the doctors call a "trigger thumb". It means that there was a knot in the tendon in my thumb that was too big to pass back through the tunnel. So when I did a two thumbs up, this is what it looked like..

Yesterday I went to hospital to get my thumb fixed so that I can do a normal two thumbs up like everyone else.. I was kind of getting used to my bent thumb but mum and dad thought it best that it get fixed. So after dropping Amelia at school and Chase with a friend it was time to get ready for hospital. Getting ready for hospital unfortunately meant no eating or drinking for 6 long hours so we decided to head to Toys r us for some shopping. While there I managed to find myself a new friend that seemed more than happy to make the trip to hospital with me.

Upon arriving at hospital I was "checked in" and then finally shown to my wheely bed. I put on my pj's, mum's funny blue shoes and was ready to go. Well as ready as I could get. Mum & Dad told me that I was very very brave!! I think so too. It was kind of scary going into the big room with lots of doctors and nurses waiting for me and the man who wanted to put me to sleep. Before I went to sleep I heard him offer my mum some of the special sleeping gas to take home.. Hopefully Mum declined, I much prefer to go asleep by myself.

Before I knew it I was back out with Mum & Dad but with a funny bandage on my thumb??? Then the nurse gave me some snacks and ice-cream to make me feel better, and because I was so hungry. Then, finally it was time to go home for dinner and more ice-cream. Thanks Aunty Kyla for telling me that I could have 3 ice-creams when my thumb was fixed. I had one vanilla, one strawberry and one chocolate!

A few weeks ago Mum asked me what my favourite Dora song is.The reason for this was because she was entering me into a competition to win some tickets to the Dora Saves the Snow Princess premier. So, if I'm telling you this then I guess that you know by now that I won!!!!!

The movie was today and since Amelia had her friend (our friend) Jacqui sleeping over I decided to take them both plus my Mum. We arrived in at Melbourne Central very early and very excited. There was face painting, balloons, snow cones, and even special Dora show bags. Dora and Diego also showed up for some cuddles and photos. Then we all enjoyed watching both the Dora and Diego movie while munching on some popcorn - yum!

boys day out

After dropping the girls at school Thomas, Chase and I decided that another boys day was required. So after convincing our mums that this was going to happen we ventured home. Lets see.... what sort of things do boys like doing? First we played with some cars,buses and trains, then it was time to watch some "Bob the Builder", then lunch of course.. have you ever known little boys to not enjoy lunch? After lunch we were off to the park and then the big surprise - aeroplane spotting. Mum drove us out to the viewing spot just past the airport and as it turned out we were there at prime time. Plane after plane after plane.. they just kept coming in over the top of us! It was fantastic! Can't wait to see what mum has in mind for the next boys day out..

A sunny autumn day

What better way to spend a nice sunny autumn day than at the beach!!! Of course, the beach in autumn is only really meant for sand play but Zachary thought otherwise. It didn't take long before he was wet and covered in sand. Luckily, thre were some spare clothes in the car so we were able to stop in at the cafe for some lunch and the park for a play before heading back home again..

Last night I wasn't feeling very well so after just looking at my dinner for 10 minutes I decided it was best for me to go to bed. Unfortunately after getting into my new bed I was sick. Unfortunatey my favourite doggy was in bed with me at the time and so today needed a wash and dry. Now he looks and smells like a new dog!!!

The day of the ball finally arrived and after a nice quiet afternoon colouring in with Nanny it was finally time to take my hair out of "rags" and reveal my curls. So, with hair ready it was then time to put on my gown, sparkly jacket (thanks to Nanny)dancing slippers and a little bit of lipstick of course.. We arrived at the ball and quickly found my friends and my teacher, Anna, but unfortunately my dancing partner was nowhere to be found?????? then Anna told me the bad news. Amir, my partner had broken his arm and so he wasn't able to dance. I wasn't sure what was going to happen, who I was going to be dancing with. Maybe I was going to dance by myself? But then Anna fixed it all and found a new partner for me, Troy, my kinder and now school friend (a.k.a. the boy that I am going to marry -shhhh don't tell mum & dad), so all was great! Troy and I danced three different dances and inbetween these the other school kids did their dancing. Even mum & dad, nanny & chase and Darren & bec got up for a dance - it was great fun but I must admit that by the end of the night I was very very very tired and couldn't wait to be home in my nice warm bed, as was the case with Zach. Chase, well that's another story....

the joy of chocolate.. oops we mean Easter

No matter how hard we tried, the year we were unable to find any chocolate suprises left by Easter Bunny.. So after breakfast we headed outside and in doing so we discovered that he had been playing in our garden. We wasted no time getting our boots on to find the chocolate and then of course taste it.. After a morning tea of chocolate and more chocolate we headed to Nanny's house for a big family easter feast. Because there were so many of us we dined outside on the new deck in the sunshine. After lunch it was time for some games, some outside bush style kid cooking and of course another egg hunt complete with some chocolate style gifts from Nanny and Aunty Shannon. After dinner the plan was to go home but instead we decided that a sleep over at our cousins houe was a better idea. Although it was late when we all finally got to bed we still had some energy to play and talk before sleep. The next morning we all woke up super early and athough we tried really hard to be quiet it wasn't long before the grown ups were awake as well. Poor Uncle Mick didn't look so happy to be awake though and in an attempt to feel better he decided to go for a swim in the pool. What a crazy uncle we have..

Good Friday

Good Friday this year sure was good!!!! With Aunty Shannon and Dan in tow we jumped on the train and decided to head into the Good Friday appeal. After having our faces painted and after winning some running races there were belly dancers to watch and jumping castles waiting to be jumped on. We even got to see the big green oval that the footy players play on while we ate our lunch. The highlight of the day was however when we got home and found some chocolate bunnies sitting on our back door step. Thank you secret easter bunnies (you know who you are.. )

For over five years now I have been collecting coins.. Finally last week I got to take some of these coins to the bank and deposit them straight into my account.. Watching the coins being automatically sorted and conted was kind of cool. Much cooler than the way that Mum told me she used to count and deposit money when she was a little girl. I wonder what I will buy with my money when I'm older...

I think that we will rename Tuesday to "boys fun day". Today we decided to stop by the Collingwood Children's Farm. There were so many things to do and see but of course before exploring and feeding the animals we desperately needed to feed ourselves. When ready we set off to visit (and milk) Heather the cow, feed the goats, pat the horses, cuddle with the guinea pigs, chase the ducks, and say hi to the donkeys. Then of course there were the sheep..... We started with the friendly sheep in paddock one who tickled our hands when we fed them but the sheep that lived in the back paddock were not so friendly. At first we thought that they were just a little hungry but being hungry shouldn't make them chase my friend Thomas around the paddock should it?? and it shouldn't make them head butt us should it??? Hmmmmmm, one day we might venture back to the farm but we think that we will give the food to the friendly goats instead!!!

Harmony Day

Look what we made to take to school today... For Harmony Day all the school kids got to celebrate with a big lunch time feast. Everyone was asked to bring a traditional yummy dish from their home country. We chose jelly shapes as we didn't think that any one else would bring them.

and look at what I got to wear to school today.. Orange is the Harmony Day colour so I got to wear my new t-shirt from Bec.

I also took along the picture that i made for my buddy, Jasmine.

Harmony Day sure was a fun day at school. I especially loved the storytelling session that we had at the end of the day..

What better way to spend a Sunday morning than at the ABC community concert. Of course being Sunday and all I did need a strong cup of coffee to wake me up but after that I was ready to dance to all the fabulous songs sung by Georgie and Jay, The Fairies and the Bananas in Pyjamas.

Hooray, today it is my turn to have a birthday. So, what was the best thing about having a birthday?? Well, the birthday wrapping paper was pretty tasty, as were the m&m's on my cake.. My new Wiggles piano is also pretty cool, and my new Tonka truck is soooo big that I think it might be fun to ride on top of it. Going out for dinner to the place with all of the play equipment was also heaps of fun as there were big open spaces for me to practice my walking. and did I mention that Daddy stayed home from work to spend the day with me?? Hmmmm, trying to decide the very best part of a birthday is hard.. I'll have to reassess next year..

Not only did I get to stay at school all day today with my friends but I got to go back to school for dinner with them... Even some of my old kinder friends decided to come along so there were heaps of friends to play with. We all had heaps of full playing tug-of war (my team won of course!), frisbee, and running around the oval chasing the big ball.. Once we were all fun, tired and dusty it was time to head home for a bath. Lucky there's no school tomorrow, I don't think that I have the energy!!!

Today was my first real day of kinder.. Mum, Dad and Chase all walked me to kinder but once there I was able to stay all by myself!!!! Because we got there so early I was able to do some painting first and I sure didn't waste any time... Smock on, cuddle goodbye to dad and away I go..

Finally the big day arrived.. The day I have been practicing for over the last 6 weeks. Today instead of playing school out in the garage I got to put on my uniform, pack my bag and walk to my real school. Once I arrived at school I met my teacher Anna, explored the room and met up with my friends. Then it was time to push mum and dad out of the room, along with Zachary, who was busy doing some exploring of his own. See you at 3.30 everybody!

Imagine all the fun that I can have now that I'm three. The fun started with my party and a chance to catch up with all my (and Amelia's big friends) before the craziness of the school and kinder year starts. Since party day was going to be hot we decided to set up my Bob pool so we could have a little splash if we got too hot. It did get hot but with the pool, cold sausage rolls and some icy poles everyone survived the heat. Thanks to everyone for coming to my party and for the presents. Now only a few more sleeps until I start big boy kinder!

We do love our little brother and our niece, Asha, but sometimes it makes it a little difficult to do some things. That's why Izabella, Eloise and us snuck off to mum and dad's ensuite to play with the Diego cards. It was much quieter in there!!

Have I told you how much I LOVE tomatoes???? I love them so much that my dad made me a veggie patch and helped me to plant some little tomato seeds. He promised that they would grow into bigger plants and that shortly after that little tomoatoes would appear.. Well the tomatoes are here but very very green.. I do love tomatoes but not enough to eat green ones.. I hope that they go red soon....

we love our mum... when given the choice of where to go for her birthday do you know where she chose??? Healesville Sanctuary! There were so many things to see and do at Healesville but our favourite thing (along with many other peoples we're sure) is the Birds of Prey show. The big eagles flew right above our heads showing us all their beautiful wings and big claw like feet. One thing that is so not good about Healesville is the birds that walk around trying to steal everyones food. We even had to sit on top of the picnic table to eat our lunch and at times we all had to squash onto the pram to get away from them. However, Healesville was fun and a recommended visit for those of you who have not been.

Unfortunately Chase did not enjoy his first christmas.. He had 4 big teeth trying to push their way through his gums and this made him very miserable and sleepy. But, for us christmas was a blast - filled with lots of family, presents, food and fun. We both woke to discover that the lovely old man we call Santa had left us new bikes. All that's not all - he also left us remote controlled cars, new pj's and some new games and craft. Add to this the many presents presents from family members (thank you to all) and you can imagine what our lounge room floor looked like. After breakfast and a play with our new things we all jumped into the car and headed to Nanny's house. Once again Nanny had made us all a great christmas lunch followed by .... more presents!!!! Nanny's presents were definitely a favourite with us, thank you we both love our new sleeping bags. Now, i wonder where we are going to put all of our new things when we get home?????

Can you believe that my days as a kinder kid are over????? This is me at kinder on my graduation day receiving my certificate from Mrs Robyn. And yes, I did wear my pj's to kinder.. Not because I was lazy and didn't get ready in time but because I was in costume for my concert number "Five in the bed"..

On the move

A little while ago now I decided it was time to go exploring. I started by moving myself around on my tummy but decided that was too hard and that using my hands and knees instead would get me places a lot quicker. There are so many places to explore at home but I especially like wandering outside onto the deck and into Amelia and Zachary's bedroom to see what toys they have left out for me to play with.

Some say that December is the silly season.. For us it's the party season!! On Friday we headed to the traffic school for Alex's 5th birthday. There were lots of roads for us to ride around on, trams, trains and even traffic lights. Unfortunately while we were there my bike broke!!! For no reason at all the front wheel bent and broke. Luckily for me there were some cool Harley like trikes there that I was able to ride very very fast on..

The following day was Emily's 5th cooking party. After putting on our aprons and hats we all mixed, rolled and flattened out our dough to make gingerbread ladies. Then after a birthday feast it was time to decorate some cup cakes before gathering together all of our treats and heading home. Cooking parties are fun, I'm already working on mum to see if she will let me have my next party there???

Can you believe that my time at kinder is nearly finished?? it's nearly concert day so that means that it's nearly christmas then holidays and then school!!!! Over the last few weeks I (along with about 6 other kinder friends) have spent the morning at our new school, in the class room with our teachers and all of the other prep children. I even met my buddy (her name is Yasmin) and she helped me to draw some pictures and told me a bit about all of the fun stuff that we get to do at school.. Next year when I am at school Yasmin will be my buddy every day and is going to help me find my way around the school yard and even play with me at recess and lunch time. I can't wait!!!!! In preparation of going to school I have be practising getting dressed in the morning, packing my bag (with all of my school clothes), walking to school (currently the kitchen) and hanging my bag up before going outside to play! Mum says that my school uniform will be worn out before it's even time to start school.

while Amelia has been busy with school orientations I had my very own orientation day at kinder last week. Dad was home from work for the day so after packing my bag Dad and I walked to kinder to meet all of the other boys and girls in "blue" group. Upon arriving at kinder I was so excited that I quickly hung my bag up on Amelia's hook and ran into the kinder room to start playing.. I was only there for an hour but I managed to fit in so many things - play doh, drawing, pasting and playing trains. Wow, I thought that dropping Amelia at kinder was fun ! Just wait until I get to stay there for a whole session by myself......

My daddy went to a place called Canberra so we all decided to take a trip to Nanny's house. While there we spent lots of time catching up with cousins - Asha, Eloise and Bella. While the big kids were busy playing, eating (and sometimes fighting) Asha and I were busy rolling, crawling and playing on the floor. It's great having a cousin to play with who is the same age as me.. Hopefully I see her again real soon.

Some of you know my friend Milla or may have heard me talking about her.. Well Milla also recently turned 5 and celebrated with a dance party. There were some big ballet girls that came to Milla's house to teach us a new dance and to help us do lots of other fun things. I especially liked the limbo and showing our special dance to all of the mums and dads. While I was busy dancing my little brother Zach was busy exploring the party food table. He found lots of yummy things there to munch on. i think his favourite (and mine) were the mini yo-yo's..

A couple of weeks later there was also a very special occasion - Milla sleeping over at my house. We kicked my littliest brother, Chase, out of his room into mine and Milla and I slept on the red couch / bed. Because I had stayed up a little later than usual I had a little sleep in in the morning so Milla and Zach got to play together for a while. Event though it was a little chilly outside apparently they crept outside for a jump on the trampoline and to make a house for the little snail that they found on the deck. Later in the day we took Milla to a school fete where we met up with her mum. Another special person was at the fete and Milla and I decided that we would like to have our photo taken with him.. Can you guess who it was??

Amongst all of the parties that Amelia has been going to I had one for my friend Thomas. He turned 3 and to celebrate we had a car party!!! We all got our own cars to race, a pistol cup after the race and some car cake to eat.. Parties are fun fun fun.. I wonder how many sleeps left until mine?

Everytime that we sit down to blog these days it seems like we are needing to go way back in time and remember what we have been doing. There just doesn't seem like there is enough time to fit in everything and then when we do think that there is time the internet decides not to work??? Brotherly love

In an attempt to get away and relax (and of course visit our friends Damien and Laura) we travelled to Bendigo for the weekend. Luckily for us it was a nice hot weekend and given the the caravan park we stayed in had a pool we had to try it out! Also working to our advantage was the fact that it was children's week and Bendigo was having a festival with all of our favourites - face painting, hair spraying, a Max & Milly show, train rides and heaps more.

Turning 5 is so much fun especially when it involves a gymnastics party!! One and a half hours in the gym to play games and have free time. Let's see, what was my favourite thing?? well there was the birthday girl bungy swing (which i loved!!), jumping into the foam bricks, the big bouncy trampolines, the rings, the beam and of course the big birthday feast. But the fun didn't stop there.. After a quick ride back to our house Bella, Eloise, Asha, Aunty Kyla and Nanny all stayed to help me open my presents. We even found time to play with some of them before it was time for them to leave.. Thanks everyone for coming to celebrate my party, i hope that you had as much fun as I did.

a big weekend

What a weekend I have had.. First there was my last ballet class on Saturday. Being the last class before holidays mums and dads as well as friends are able to watch. So off we all went to ballet so that I could show everyone my moves. Then on Sunday it was finally time to go to the Dora show. Dora and her friends lost their treasure and needed to go on an adventure to find it. Of course they ended up finding it and they even let Swiper celebrate with them.

Daddy's weekend

When we got home from Eloise's party it was time to catch up with Dad and see what he had been doing while we were away.. So up the ladder into the roof we climbed where I was brave enough to stand on one of the new timbers that Daddy had put in. I can't wait until it is becomes a proper floor that I can walk on without having to worry about the possibility of ending up in the bathroom!! Then the next day was of course Father's Day. After a big breakfast and some presents we decided to go for a swim. Then it was time to decorate the ginger bread house that Yasar and Em gave to us a little while back. no guesses as to who ate the most frosting!!!

Every now and then we like to look back at some old photos and see how much we have grown.. These photos show just how much we have grown as we happended to be in the same spots as before.. There's Zach in the swing at the nic nak park, aged 9 months and then again at 2 and a half.. then there's amelia in the rocker at Nanny's aged 22 months and again at 5 (well nearly 5). We are a little behind in our blogging and because we only have time to blog a little now and then (in between the craziness of day-to-day living) our stories are probably a little jumbled up.. A little while ago was Nanny and Poppy's birthdays. Poppy's birthday number was 60 so we decided to have a special birthday lunch, followed by cake, of course! Birthdays are also a great time to catch up and run wild with our cousins. And as an extra special treat Aunty Shannon was also down for a short holiday from Darwin.

Look who is famous!!! Last week I had my name printed in the newspaper.. Why?? Well I entered a little colouring competition and won! I received a parcel in the mail with so many cool things packed inside.. Not only were there 4 tickets to the Dora the Explorer Pirate Adventure show but a Dora CD, Dora doll, t-shirt and wand. I couldn’t believe that I won and that I am going to see the Dora show. i am just a wee little bit excited. .

a little while ago Mum decided that it was time for me to start experiencing some new foods.. the first of these was a gooey white paste called rice cereal. I don't think that I need to tell you what I thought of that!!

Since then I have also tried some carrot, sweet potato, and apple and even some more rice cereal. Mum, Dad, Amelia, Zachary and Aunty Shannon have all tried feeding me but so far I'm not terribly impressed by anything.. I think that I will just play with my spinning monkey instead..

Last night I went to bed but in doing so I decided that I wasn't quite tired enough to sleep so I crept out to the lounge room. Usually mum or dad or both will tell me to go back to bed but not this time.. The gymnastics were on tv so I got to sit up and watch them and drink milo with mum! Apparently it was a "special treat" and won't happen every night. Hmmmm, I think it may be worth trying again.

Today was Dad's birthday.. but being the big kid that he is he decided to do some really really fun stuff for his birthday. After some present opening we jumped aboard the train and went to the zoo!!! We spent a few chilly hours exploring at the zoo during which time we had a ride on the carousel, saw the elephants crossing the road and even saw some elephant poo!! Once we got home Dad said that we could make him any sort of cake that we liked.. he he he - froggy cupcakes.. yum

Did you know that Warrnambool is a great place to go for a holiday?? When mum and dad first told us that we needed to drive for 2.5 hours to get to Warrnambool we were a little discouraged. However, after imagining the fun that we would have and the many things that we would be able to see and do, especially at the kids festival, the drive felt like it lasted only minutes.. This is the first of the entries from our holiday.. It's called changing faces..We're sure that you can work out why!

what better way to spend a cold rainy day than catching up with our cousins.. jumping all over Becky was definitely better than jumping on the couch at home, listening to Jessica sing was definitely better than listening to our music at home and drinking favoured milk through a special straw was definitely better than milo! Chase also enjoyed lots of cuddles and kisses from his cousins and having his older cousins look after him. Hopefully Chase won't have to wait another 4 months before he sees his big cousins again.

For weeks mum had been telling us that we can go and have a sleep over at Nanny's. Well this weekend it finally happened. While there we also got to visit our cousins - Bella, Eloise and Asha, go to Abby's 3rd birthday party, and play at the adventure play ground. Of course there were lots of other little fun things in between all of the big fun things but before too long it was time to pack up and head home to see what Daddy had been busy doing..

Today I started school!!!! well not really it was just a practice at a school that I might go to next year.. Mum, Zachary and Chase as well as some of my kinder friends were there as well as lots of grade preps, 1 & 2's. The school kids sang us some songs, told us a story and then we got to make some teddy bears and read stories before heading outside for lunch and a play.. There was so many fun things to do at school, it really isn't that long before I am a big school kid and get to do lots of fun things every day!

Today as a "special treat" for mum we took her on a safari day. Of course that was after we helped daddy to make mummy a special breakfast! As part of the safari mum got treated to a mini massage, a box of chocolates, some scones and coffee and a safari obstacle course. Mummy's day sure is a fun day. today my kinder friend Chiara had her birthday party at Old McDonalds. We played lots of fun games inlcuding pass the parcel and thumbs up. Then it was time to order our lunch. I told the old McDonalds lady that I would like to try a cheeseburger. Cheese in a roll how could I go wrong? Well let me tell you that I wasn't so impressed with the cheeseburger. Even after mum picked out the pickles and onion I still couldn't work up the courage to try this tasty treat!?! Oh well, the ice-cream cake was nice..

today at kinder we made soup!!! we put in carrots, potatoes, pumpkin, tomatoes and a few other things that I can't remember!! Anyway, at kinder I got to peel some carrots and potato so when I got home I decided to put my new skills to work and help mum make dinner.. Mum said that peeling the vegies can always be my job. Yeah!!! if I peel them maybe I won't have to eat them...
